Ocean Of Sound | Sunday Session: Soundwalk Collective with Charlotte Gainsbourg

How will love, desire and relationships evolve in the future under the influence of robots and artificial intelligence? The international artist collective Soundwalk Collective asked this question in their project Lovotic. The ever-increasing entanglement of the human and the machine requires and enables the construction of new forms of intimacy, gender, and sexuality. To explore this, Soundwalk Collective invited actors Charlotte Gainsbourg and Willem Dafoe, as well as queer theorist Paul B. Preciado and musicians Lyra Pramuk and Atom™. They contributed voices, textes and sounds to a 27-minute-long composition that takes the listener into a musical and narrative story about the subject. Some voices were created by self-learning algorithms that generated lyrics based on excerpts from 20th-century studies and texts on sexuality and gender.
