Nine years ago, I first experienced 4DSOUND in Amsterdam. It is one of the most powerful and amazing musical experiences I have ever had. It's a dream to be able to create a work for the system myself.

Adriaan de Roover is a Belgian musician and composer of electroacoustic music. Since 2013, he has released work - as Oaktree and under his own name - through labels such as [PIAS], Dauw and Consouling. Adriaan has written music for installations, dance and theatre (including Aïda Gabriels). He also has a monthly radio show on Kiosk. With his versatile approach, Adriaan easily finds his way to arts spaces, concert halls as well as nightclubs. Especially for Ocean Of Sound, he will create a new composition for 4DSOUND, for which he will do a residency at Monom in Berlin.

Ocean Of Sound

Ocean Of Sound is Belgium's first festival to use 4DSOUND technology. A room with 48 speakers immerses you in an ocean of sound. Expect two weekends with spatial live shows, intimate listening sessions in the dark and a four-dimensional club night.

The venue (Studio) is located on the fourth floor in STUK, but is easily accessible by elevator.
